Crayola retires Dandelion from 24 pack to make room for new colour

The colour of the sun will never be the same again in many children's drawings.
Crayola is retiring one of its classic shades of yellow from its range.

The company announced dandelion will be retiring in a Twitter video post.

It is the third time in Crayola's long history that it has dropped one or more colours, and the first time it is removing one from its box of 24.
However, as dandelion heads into retirement - a new colour is expected to join the pack.

Crayola crayons were produced in 1903 by Binney & Smith Co. Based in Easton, Pennsylvania, Crayola is a subsidiary of Hallmark Cards Inc.
