Police hunt suspect after toddler dies and one-year-old girl left critical

Police have named a man they are searching for following the death of a one-year-old boy and serious injuries to his twin sister.
He is Bidhya Sagar Das, 33, of the address in Wilberforce Road where the injured children were found on Saturday night.

In a statement, police said: "Detectives are urgently trying to trace a man who was at the flat shortly before the injured children were found, but left before emergency services were called.

"The man has not been seen since this time."

Police found the twins seriously injured after being called to a flat in Wilberforce Road near Finsbury Park, north London, at 11.10pm on Saturday.

An ambulance took them to hospital, but the boy died just before 1am on Sunday.
The girl remains in a critical condition.

Detectives from the Homicide and Major Crime Command have launched a murder investigation and say the incident is believed to be domestic.

No arrests have been made so far.

They appealed for anyone who knows where Mr Das is to contact them by phoning 999 immediately.
